There are a few exceptions for these dates. These dates are for the Ruby-throated hummingbird and there are up to 5 species which visit Canada, specifically British Columbia. British Columbia has a much warmer climate earlier in the season and therefore they get up to 4 other species visiting as early as February. The departure times, however, are a little closer in line with the remainder of Canada.
